About the Presenters—
JESS CHAN, is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and Vice President/ West Coast for Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc. Over the past 16 years, Jess has built and directed a dynamic, world-class organization dedicated to delivering outplacement consulting, training and support. High profile accounts he has worked with include: Yahoo, Charles Schwab, Levi Strauss, Dial Corporation, Lucas Films, Pixar Films, Washington Mutual, Mattel, Motorola, Northrop Corp. and Consolidated Freight Corporation. Jess has authored numerous articles on career issues and corporate outplacement strategies and has testified as an expert witness.
RICHARD L. KNOWDELL, MS, NCC, NCCC, CCMF is Executive Director of the Career Development Network and author of six books, including Building a Career Development Program: Nine Steps for Effective Implementation and coauthor of From Downsizing to Recovery: Strategic Options for Organizations and Individuals. Knowdell has taught at the University of California, San Diego and at San Jose State University. He has developed four popular career assessment instruments that have been translated into nine languages. He is a past president of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Association of Career Professionals International (ACPI) and the California Career Development Association (CCDA).

A graduate of Haas School of Business at U.C.
